Public interest in electric vehicles in Indonesia continues to increase. This is proved by the positive growth of electric car sales. In fact, at the event of Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2022, the sales of battery-based electric motorized vehicles broke a new record.

A total of 1,594 units of electric vehicles were sold. From this data, 320 units of hybrid vehicles were sold, while battery-based electric vehicles (BEV) sold up to 1,274 units. The number has increased compared to sales in 2021 which only sold 685 units.

Reported from DetikOto page, the Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said, “The achievement in sales of electric vehicles at the GIIAS event is much greater than the sales of EVs for a one-year period in 2021. For that, we express our gratitude to GIIAS which is able to provide educational facilities to the public regarding the presence of environmentally friendly vehicle technology that supports the government’s emission reduction target.”

Hyundai IONIQ comes with two variants, namely Prime and Signature, each of which has a Standard-Range and Long-Range type.

Hyundai carries the Parametric Pixel style which is equipped with complete exterior features, namely Parametric Pixel LED Dual Project Beam, LED front center garnish lamp, vision roof, and automatic flush door handle.

Meanwhile, from the interior side, the IONIQ 5 offers a spacious cabin space due to the loss of the transmission mound which often limits the driver’s seat to the passenger’s seat. The comfort of driving is even more complete due to the addition of tilt and telescopic steering wheel settings, good headrests, and electric seat settings. In the IONIQ 5 Signature variant, you can get a feature called Relaxation Comfort Seta which will automatically change the seat to a reclining position, so you can relax more.

So, how long does it take to charge the IONIQ 5 battery? In Hyundai’s official statement, IONIQ 5 takes 5 hours on the Prime Standard Range and Signature Standard Ranger variants. Meanwhile, the Prime Long Range and Signature Long Range variants take 6 hours to charge up to 100 percent.
